Ancestral File Number: 1RC8-RGP. Research Notes: Legend has it that Louis Cadet St. Julien murdered his first wife, Marguerite LeBlanc, who was having an affair with a hired hand named Aubin. St. Julien tried to pin this murder on Alexandre deClouet and a certain Carmouche. The incident is described in detail in C. C. Robin's book VOYAGE TO Louisiana, written about the time of the Louisiana Purchase Etienne married Marie Aspasie Fuselier, daughter of Agricole Fuselier De La Claire and Christine Marie Berard, on 3 Apr 1809 in St. Martinville, St. Martin, Louisiana. (Marie Aspasie Fuselier was born on 26 Oct 1791 in St. Martinville, St. Martin, Louisiana and died on 2 Nov 1812 in St. Martinville, St. Martin, Louisiana.) |
