  General Notes:

"I would say she was the strongest of the family. She kept the home in Alexandria just as long as possible. Had part of Aunt Carrie's kids there, Aunt Christine's, Luverne part of the time. Our family visited there during the sumer for a couple of weeks. The whole family who lived there in Alexandria were always dropping in for coffee or a meal. Aunt Bessie worked in a yardage at a general store so she never had a lot of money. When Harold died he left her $10,000 so she had enough to see her through during her last years. Outside of getting hard of hearing she maintained her faculties until the day she died." ¹⁴
